Sylvia: Minouche, on your website, you describe yourself as “a visionary artist who responds to the call of the sacred in her work, which in turn becomes a portal into a higher consciousness of individual, social, and environmental harmony.” This is, of course, precisely what the Conscious Media Movement is all about; this is what we want to see more of in the world to guide humanity to the next step in the evolution of their soul. When did you receive your call for this type of work? Can you share more about the experience?
Minouche: I was born in Southern France in 1957 and was imbued by the beauty of frescoes in churches while praying to Mother Mary. At the age of 10, I was touched by the Healing Grace of Mother Mary. It saved me from severe sunstroke. This set me on my path as a healer.
I have also always had a deep love and connection with Nature." As a little girl, I saw divine grace in the movement of a pristine stream running down a trail, sparkling in the sunlight - like laughter! I still perceive sacredness in everything I see".
At age 40, a dream revealed to me a mysterious disease, from which I was dying. I rushed to the hospital, where my life was saved. A year later, I moved and made Marin County, CA, my home.
In 2002, I heard a voice clearly say to me, "You are going blind." As if by magic, a series of fortuitous synchronicities led me to a successful surgery, saving me from losing my sight from glaucoma.
In 2004, I received my first clearly articulated message from the spiritual world: “IT IS TIME TO PAINT THE PEACE LEADERS.” No fewer than three times over a 3-year period, my focus was directed to the International Council of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers. "The third time, I broke into tears; my body was shaking. I knew in my heart that these were the peace leaders to paint." I dedicated six months of my life to rendering a 5’ x 8’ mural using earth pigments on canvas, called “Peace Makers,” at a point in my career when I had never painted a single portrait. Sylvia: That’s incredible. I am especially drawn to your paintings of the Cosmic Mother and Black Madonna. What is the story behind these creations?

The Black Madonna can be found in many places
Minouche: While sitting on the couch, drinking tea, I felt the Mother calling me across the continents. My dear friend Matthew had mentioned seeing a shrine to Mother Mary in the mountains near Budapest. Suddenly, warm loving energies started swirling throughout my body. I felt a gentle squeeze in my heart, and a divine presence moved me to tears: Mother Mary! I said, “Matthew! Mother Mary is calling me there!" A year later. On May 16, 2016, we were on our way to the shrine of Mother Mary. As we drove through a vibrant, dark green forest, birds were singing to one another—so beautiful. Suddenly, my heart expanded, tears streaming down my cheeks, and I clearly heard: "It is a day of transmission." Is it Her Voice? Not just my T-shirt. Not my skin, but in my entire body, an incredible energetic hand was pulling me toward the top of this particular mountain.
It was not yet the mountain with the shrine. I asked my friend, ''Matthew, do you mind going up there?” “Sure,” Matthew smiled. A dirt road took us to a plateau. We parked. I offered dry fruits to the Spirit of this land. We start climbing a goat trail, feet and hands searching for the next safe place to hold onto. I am guided by this exhilarating desire to meet–Her. Out of breath, we finally arrived at the top. I think to myself, what a wonder, marvel, miracle! A dome-shaped stone chapel stands before us, guarded by two tall stone towers, each housing a bronze bell. On the front, it reads: The Chapel of the Our Lady. I’m in awe: How is this even possible? Inside, on my knees, shaking, weeping, praying so loudly that it takes me a while to realize that I am hearing a voice…And She is not Mary. She is The Cosmic Mother. I followed the call, took the leap of faith, and went on the journey. She blesses me for my healing work. And She would like me to paint Her with pink and golden stars. I bow: “Mother, thank you, anything you like, I will do! Humbled, crushed by Beauty, reborn into Love.
The Cosmic Mother painting was complete on December 12 of that year. And yes, the Cosmic Mother wears pink drapes and gold stars! At the top of the painting, in Aramaic letters, it is written: - As I speak, I create. At the bottom: - I use love words to renew all my relationships, including to myself. "I do not choose the painting, the painting chooses me. I receive messages from the spiritual world that I capture on large canvases, using earth pigments, gold leaf, and powder from gemstones holding healing frequencies. My wish is for viewers’ hearts to open to greater love and respect for themselves and for all forms of life, as has my own heart through my painting process."I blend my painting skills with my gifts of healing and clairvoyance. My artwork depicts messages of the sacredness and the interconnectedness of all forms of existence.
Sylvia: Where can your work be seen?
Minouche: I am the featured visionary artist at the Fairfax Community Church in Fairfax, CA, where many find themselves praying with the Cosmic Mother painting to find solace and guidance.
Sylvia: How do you see art as a source of healing for humanity and the planet?
Minouche: Since cave paintings, art has been a road map of human evolution. Art connects–it speaks directly to the heart–it awakens the artist and viewer's feelings, thoughts, inspiration, and creativity. That experience becomes part of the field of Consciousness. Art plays a critical role in enabling human culture to transcend its own limitations and constantly evolve toward higher forms.
Sylvia: Thank you, Minouche, for sharing your incredible journey with us.
